Melbourne Eastern Victoria – Grasshopper Soccer, the engaging children’s soccer program best known for its focus on child development using soccer as a tool, would like to welcome our latest Franchisee to join the team Jorge Gonez from Melbourne Eastern.
Born in Montevideo, Uruguay (football mad country) Jorge migrated to Australia as a teenager with his parents and brother. A graduate from Melbourne University in biomedical sciences with several years research experience in Australia and Sweden, and later moved into managing subscriptions and sales for a US based international biomedical publisher.
Married to lovely Diana, with 2 grown up kids Lucas and Lara. Jorge played soccer in Uruguay (first division trials before leaving for Australia) and in mid to lower divisions in Australia (VSL 1) and Sweden (third division).
Jorge has recently returned from Head Office training in Perth and is ready to launch his programs for Term 1, 2024 with locations to be announced online shortly. Jorge said “The training was amazing from the practical to the theory side of the business. I could not believe how much I needed to learn to make this business a real success, however since completing training I can not wait to kick off our programs and see all of the kids in the Melbourne Eastern area to be involved in our programs.”
