Meet David & Tania from Grasshopper Soccer Launceston
Launceston, Tasmania – Grasshopper Soccer, the engaging children’s soccer program best known for its focus on child development using soccer as a tool, announced today it is commencing in Launceston, Tasmania.
Meet David and Tania Manktelow from Launceston, Tasmania and please welcome them both to our franchisee team!
Tania and David have 4 children and have lived in the Launceston region for over 30 years. During that time both have been actively involved in sport with David owning a GYM and coaching various junior cricket and football sides and senior AFL sides.
Tania was an exceptionally good hockey player and has always had a love for children and helping their development in any way. Both David and Tania are excited about being the first Grasshopper Franchise in the state of Tasmania.
David and Tania cannot wait to get started and having the opportunity to help kids (and parents) not only be more active, but also help with getting kids away from today’s technology and encourage interaction like they did when they were kids.

David and Tania said “I found Grasshopper Soccer as in my travels to Melbourne a friend who had two children attended the sessions. I went down and watched the children one weekend and I was blown away with the atmosphere. The kids were laughing, having fun and improving in front of my eyes. I cannot wait to get started and bring the fun and joy to the kids of Tasmania!
I would like to thank head office and in particular the Grasshopper Soccer HQ, as training was fun, and we learnt so much in a short amount of time. The business systems in place give me great confidence for my business going forward. I suggest reaching out to the team if you are thinking of joining the team and finding out how you could join me!”
I look forward to helping build the confidence and skills of children across all ages in a safe and supportive environment and can’t wait to meet all our new little Grasshoppers.”
