Western Sydney, NSW, Australia. – Grasshopper Soccer, the engaging children’s soccer program best known for its focus on child development using soccer franchise Western Sydney as a tool, would like to welcome Phil Fourlas & Tim Voutiantis to our team of franchisees.
Phillip Fourlas and Tim Voutianitis, longtime soccer lovers, are co-directors in the new western Sydney venture.
Mr Fourlas, who presents a community radio program on football, is excited to be able to offer Grasshopper Soccer to the local community.
“A lot of children don’t get to play at club level or even feel comfortable in that environment,” he said.
“This program helps to improve their motor skills and work in a team environment. Later on they might feel they want to play at a club level.”
Mr Fourlas said the point of difference with Grasshopper Soccer was that parents were welcome, indeed expected, to be involved rather than just watch from the sidelines.
“With the two to five years group, parents are encouraged to be involved,’ he said.
While it’s not a prerequisite to run the program, Mr Fourlas says he’s been playing and been involved with soccer since he was five. He is now 40.
“I played at a state level, and I’ve also been involved in coaching for the last 10 years,” he said.
His objective with Grasshopper Soccer is simple.
He wants to introduce football to as many children as possible and see them reap the many rewards of an active lifestyle, working and playing in a team environment and, if they wish, to take the game to a more competitive level when they are ready to do so.
“This is the first Grasshopper Soccer program in western Sydney,” Mr Fourlas said.
Stuart said “I make it my job to ensure that every child who participates in my soccer program has fun and enjoys the session.
I have coached soccer for over 20 years, and I still have as much passion as I did way back then.
At Grasshopper Soccer we encourage everyone to get involved and have a go, it is all about taking part and making the effort to try something new”.
