Grasshopper Soccer Sydney North officially “kicked off” in October 2017, running a Saturday program at North Rocks and a Tuesday afternoon in Hornsby. We are a family owned and operated business.
In 2019 we have expanded our programs into North Turramurra, Cherrybrook, Thornleigh, Pennant Hills and West Pennant Hills while maintaining our hugely popular classes in North Rocks, Wahroonga and Hornsby.
Director, Grant Ekstrom, has a vast playing history which started at the age of 6, working through various representative sides in Australia, before getting a semi-professional contract in Europe. His ambitions of playing professionally in England were cut short due to a knee injury sustained at training in Sweden, but he still plays club football to this day.
Grant said “My passion is soccer. Having played at high-level Europe to be able to come back and do this as a job and get paid is amazing!
I have coached soccer for over 7 years, and I still play here in Sydney.
At Grasshopper Soccer Sydney North we encourage everyone to get involved and have a go, it is all about taking part and making the effort to try something new”.
